A Transformative Weekend with the "Om am Berg" Intercultural Seminar

The resounding success of our intercultural seminar weekend, organised by Romana Obermair, "Om am Berg," has left us brimming with joy and satisfaction. Romana's multifaceted involvement in marketing, artwork, and event organisation played a vital role in creating an extraordinary experience that aimed to foster a better world through friendship between cultures. Over the course of three enriching days, participants were immersed in a diverse and captivating program that spanned various disciplines. From the enlightening practice of Taoist Tai-Chi with Grand Tai-Chi master Lee Po Nang to engaging Land-Art art experiences, the seminar offered an array of transformative experiences. It was an extraordinary event that fostered self-discovery, cultural exchange, and personal growth.

Uniting Cultures for a Better World through 'Om am Berg'

Under the expert guidance of our befriended Grand Tai-Chi master Lee Po Nang from Hong Kong, participants were introduced to the ancient art of Taoist Tai-Chi. This meditative practice not only enhanced physical well-being but also nurtured inner peace and equilibrium. Through graceful movements and focused breathwork, attendees discovered the profound interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. Participants were immersed in sessions designed to reduce stress, restore balance, and embrace moments of stillness in the midst of a hectic world. Gerner's expertise provided practical tools for navigating life's challenges with resilience and composure.

Exploring Cultural Bridges

The seminar featured a captivating scientific lecture by Univ. Prof. Dr. Richard Trappl, the esteemed head of the Konfuzius Institute in Vienna. Dr. Trappl's insights into intercultural communication ignited profound reflections on the importance of cultural empathy and fostering harmonious relationships among diverse communities. Participants engaged in thought-provoking conversations, exploring ways to create a more inclusive and understanding society.

Unleashing Creativity in Nature

Renowned experiential-educationalist Patrick Endl led participants through an awe-inspiring Land-Art art experience. Surrounded by the magnificent natural landscapes, attendees delved into the art of creating captivating installations using natural materials. This artistic endeavor encouraged a deep connection with nature, fostering a renewed appreciation for the environment and sparking boundless imagination.

As the sun set, participants gathered around the campfire, where lively conversations and laughter resonated in the crisp mountain air. Sharing stories and insights from diverse cultural backgrounds, attendees experienced the true essence of unity. The evenings also witnessed the harmonious melodies of participants playing instruments together, weaving a musical tapestry of camaraderie and shared experiences.

The success of "Om am Berg" fills us with excitement as we eagerly anticipate the next edition of this extraordinary seminar. We invite each one of you to embark on a remarkable journey of self-discovery, cultural exploration, and personal growth. May the teachings and memories from this seminar continue to inspire and guide us on our individual paths until we meet again amidst the mountains for another transformative experience.
